Confessions of a Momagraher Vol.1

This is in my opinion the worst picture I've ever taken of Austin.
Me and his Dad laugh at this now.
I really thought this was a good photo. It was indoors, at night, no special lighting just a bright flash. Jeans no shirt and a basketball smh. Luckily I had a little more sense with his birth announcement pictures which oddly was a couple months prior to this photo.

I had a little more sense. I knew he needed soft lighting because of his skin condition at this time he was a bit yellow from Jaundice.

I didn't use this one due to the different background textures and my  lack of photoshop knowledge at the time. I wasn't going to try to learn on this session. Look at his little belly button, he still had piece of his umbilical cord.
This was taken by Kelly Alexander in Dallas Texas she only does bridal shoots, but she's a friend of family. She has a 10k dollar camera, the photo itself looks ok but I don't like the way I look. Figures.
Raw unedited shot. The day before Thanksgiving. I love his little face.
I used window lighting and aluminum foil to bounce the light.

This is the most recent "shoot" I did of Austin and it's one of my favorites. I love his beautiful little face, the sun was setting the light was perfect.

A little Christmas joy, a little photoshop a lot of cute.

 I'm growing as he's growing.

Extra Christmas Pictures

Extras from his second Christmas Card shoot. A lady come to take "professional" pictures, and they looked like crap.
If you want something done right you have to do it yourself.

I never lined these up and really looked at them. I've gotten so much better, I was cringing looking at the first ones. Of course when they're smaller you lay them on their back, now he's about to start walking. I'm really excited for his first year one. The big ONE. I've been planning his birthday(s) for the last 6 months, it's very difficult when family is so spread out and it's impossible to have one party.Just reflecting on his growth and how much I love him more and more, he's becoming a little kid. The perfect little kid:)

Be Kind, December

I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving. Thankful for my beautiful child. My Grandmother told me
"If I was a painter, and tried to paint a baby, my imagination wouldn't have been painted a baby more precious than Austin."
Thankful for my little family, that I'm not expanding for at least another year or so. With that said I'm thankful for whatever the future holds. I'm thankful that I'm joining the working mother team, but also thankful I've spent so much quality time with this face, thankful to say the least.
